World Wide Diplomatic Archives Index: Uganda

The National Records and Archives Act of 2001 legislates that important records of research value must be deposited with the national archives.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs: P.O.Box 7048 Kampala A new National Archives Building is currently being built.

Procedures

Researchers should contact the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to inquire about access to diplomatic records while the National Archives are being built. Pre-independence records may be found at the UK National Archives.
