Sir: I have the honor to inclose herewith the
copy of a resolution of thanks passed by the faculty of the American
College for Girls in Constantinople on the 5th instant.

At a meeting of the faculty of the American College for Girls in
Constantinople, held on the 5th of April, 1895, the following
resolution was passed:
Whereas, the American College for Girls has received from His
Imperial Majesty the Sultan of Turkey an irade, by which all
taxes are forever remitted upon the property of the
college,
Resolved, That the faculty express
their sincere gratitude to the Hon. A. W. Terrell, minister
plenipotentiary of the United States, for his untiring and
successful efforts to obtain this irade.
