150. At this afternoon’s meeting of the Third Committee, after welcoming the representative of the United States, the Chairman recommended that the debate on the truce proposal be confined to an explanation by Colonel Inhaling [Colban?] of Norway of intended purpose of the Scandinavian resolution, and to a declaration by General de [Page 453] Marinis62 [omission] spoke in the sense of my 132, September 26 [16], 5 p.m., stating that he would submit an amendment to the Scandinavian resolution which will be shortly circulated. Discussion on this question will be resumed tomorrow afternoon. Inasmuch as Marinis’ proposals were not generally known few of the delegates have definite views as yet as to what attitude they will adopt.
