The Under Secretary of State ( Castle ) to the Counselor of the British Embassy ( Osborne )

My Dear Mr. Osborne: I have received your letter of November 17, on the subject of entry privileges for Australian business men desiring to come to the United States to carry on international trade.

The Department plans to bring this question to the attention of the appropriate committee of Congress as soon as practicable after Congress reconvenes in December. It is hoped that in the near future it will be possible to indicate to you what steps can be taken to effect a satisfactory adjustment of the matter.

Very sincerely yours,

W. R. Castle, Jr.
