Embassy’s telegram number 163, October 7, 6 p.m., and despatch No. 1590, November 8.⁶⁷ I took up this matter yesterday with the Foreign Minister and expressed the hope that notwithstanding the urgent international problems now preoccupying him he would be able to look into this question soon. He said that he hoped that he would be able to do so in the near future.⁶⁸
