The President of the Metals Reserve Company (Charles B. Henderson) to the Secretary of State
My Dear Mr. Secretary: I enclose two certified copies and six conformed copies of the Agreement between Metals Reserve Company and Compagnie Aramayo de Mines en Bolivie, The Compañia Minera de Oruro Group, Compañia Minera Unificada del Cerro de Potosí, Asociación Nacional de Mineros Medianos, and Banco Minero de Bolivia covering the purchase of Bolivian tin ores or concentrates necessary [Page 547] to produce 18,000 tons of fine tin each year for the next five years.22
It will be greatly appreciated if you will indicate to the Government of the Republic of Bolivia and to this Company your approval thereof, and procure from the Government of the Republic of Bolivia an expression of its approval and its guarantee of performance of the terms and conditions of such Agreement.
