Austria

The Conference examined a proposal by the Soviet Government on the extension of the authority of the Austrian Provisional Government to all of Austria.2

The three Governments agreed that they were prepared to examine this question after the entry of the British and American forces into the city of Vienna.

The Conference took note of a statement by Generalissimo Stalin that Marshal Koniev would continue to issue rations to the people of Vienna until the British and American authorities were able to undertake the task.3
