571. ReEmb’s 472, April 7. The Acting Minister for Foreign Affairs³³ informed me this morning that there has been as yet no reaction from the Russian side to the Turkish note to the Soviet Ambassador here concerning the proposed discussions to revise the Turkish-Soviet treaty of friendship and neutrality. The Minister stated that he did not expect any Soviet proposal until after Molotov’s return from San Francisco.
