The Ambassador in Iran (Murray) to the Secretary of State

788. Embassy has exchanged notes with Foreign Office agreeing to one year’s extension of agreement covering engagement of gendarmerie mission.86

Schwarzkopf on September 29 had most satisfactory interview with Shah, details of which will be reported later.87
