1048. Emtel 1041, Aug. 4.⁵⁵ Minister of Finance, Santamaria, has just confirmed to the Embassy that an executive resolution has been signed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and President López ordering liquidation of Axis spearhead firms.

Minister Santamaria expressed confidence that no further obstacles would remain in the way of prompt liquidation of Axis firms. Text of resolution follows in Embtel 1049.⁵⁶
