511. For Merchant from Bell. Substitute following for lines 501 through 539 of draft agreements.

  • “A. Airlines of the United States of America authorized under the present agreement, are accorded rights of transit and nontraffic stop [Page 246] in the territory of the Argentine Republic, as well as the right to pick up and discharge international traffic in passengers, cargo, and mail at Buenos Aires, Mendoza, Córdoba, Salta, and Tucumán, on the following routes via intermediate points in both directions:
    1.
    The United States via intermediate points on the east coast of South American to Rio de Janeiro and beyond to Buenos Aires (a) via intermediate points in Brazil and Paraguay and (b) via intermediate points in Brazil and Uruguay.
    2.
    The United States and/or an airport serving the Canal Zone via intermediate points in the Caribbean and South America to Salta, Tucumán, Córdoba, Mendoza, Buenos Aires and beyond.
    3.
    The United States and/or an airport serving the Canal Zone via intermediate points in the Caribbean and South American to Asunción, Paraguay and beyond to Buenos Aires. On each of the above routes the airline or airlines authorized to operate such route may operate nonstop flights between any of the points on such route omitting stops at one or more of the other points on such route.
  • B. Airlines of the Argentine Republic, authorized under the present agreement, are accorded rights of transit and nontraffic stop in the territory of the United States of America as well as the right to pick up and discharge international traffic in passengers, cargo and mail at (blank) on the following routes.”
