Editorial Note

United States Chargé ad interim Loyd V. Steere on August 27, 1952, and R. K. Nehru, Foreign Secretary to the Government of India, on August 25–26, 1952, signed and thereby brought into force on August 27, 1952, another agreement providing for duty-free entry into India and free inland transportation therein of relief supplies and packages. This agreement was retroactive to July 30, 1952 and was a renewal of the agreement signed by the United States and India pertaining to the same items which had entered into force on July 9, 1951 (TIAS No. 2291, 2 UST (pt. 2) 1483).
