Your 79, August 10, 5 p.m. The Department is not clear as to the purpose of your proposed interview with Veniselos but it has no objection to your seeking such an interview if you consider that any useful purpose would be served thereby. If you decide to discuss the matter with Veniselos the Department believes that you might appropriately reiterate the reservation contained in the Department’s 33, August 3, 7 p.m., and repeat the oral statements which you made to the Minister for Foreign Affairs.
