Sir: I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of your note of the 10th instant, inclosing copy of a letter addressed by the Treasury [Page 576] Department to the collector of customs at Suspension Bridge, concerning the transportation of merchandise in bond, from one port to another in Canada, by way of Suspension Bridge and Ogdensburg, N. Y., and to inform you that I am this day forwarding a copy of it to the governor general of Canada, for communication to the customs department of the Dominion.
