In answer to the above dispatch 1134 of October 18 Mr. Adee instructs Mr. Jackson to inform the Secretary of State that when the President returns to Washington the question involving the reciprocity treaty will be brought to his attention, and his and the Department’s views will be communicated as soon as may be.
