The Ambassador in France (Wallace) to the Secretary of State

[Paraphrase]

1629. Your 1407.29 Copy of note forwarded through London was handed today to the Foreign Office. Paléologue read it carefully [Page 399] and then stated he entirely agreed with it. He said the note was one which Millerand himself could sign. The French representative at Warsaw has already been instructed by the Foreign Office in the same sense, and the Foreign Office hopes that Poland will have enough wisdom to follow the course which has been outlined.
