Your 117 August 19—5 p.m. In memorandum dated yesterday noon the Foreign Office in the name of the Mexican Government expresses thanks to the Department of State for its spontaneous and friendly intervention and “has the pleasure to inform it that the Department of Hacienda and Public Credit to which the committee of the Petroleum Companies has already addressed itself is in communication with that committee.”
