Department’s 278, October 10, 7 p.m. Foreign Office replies that information has now been received from the French Government [Page 379] that it would be prepared if requested to waive all objection to the pledging of security by Greece in connection with the proposed refugee loan and, second, that His Majesty’s Government has already signified its willingness similarly to waive its veto on the assignment of Greek security for this purpose.
