Your 85, August 6, 4 p.m. You will please make an appointment with the Minister for Foreign Affairs at an early opportunity and express to him my great appreciation and satisfaction for his wholehearted support of the policy of the United States in international affairs, as set forth in my statement of July 16. Please state to the Minister that it is particularly heartening to be assured that Brazil and the United States are in such close accord and can continue to cooperate in the effort to maintain peace and to work for the betterment of international relations. This cooperation is of special satisfaction to the Government of the United States and it is always a personal pleasure to me to continue the cordial and effective cooperation between our two Governments.
