The Consul at Geneva (Bucknell) to the Secretary of State

339. At the private meeting of the Council this morning Avenol48 referred to Secretary’s statement of July 16 and suggested the desirability of printing the statement and the replies received for circulation to states members of the League. This suggestion was adopted and Delbos49 as President took occasion to comment that the principles therein enunciated were in general accord with those of the League of Nations.
