35. We learn from Beteta that last night he had a long conversation with the President regarding the oil situation. Beteta reports that the President feels that matter has now gone too far to admit of any adjustment prior to the Supreme Court decision and that he should take no further responsibility for settlement now but leave matters entirely in the hands of the Court.
