1135. Embassy’s 1061, June 3, 3 p.m.; and 1107, June 10, 1 p.m.67 Chauvel tells me that the Foreign Office has received a letter from the Ministry of Colonies to the effect that in view of the interest of the United States in these tung oil shipments it has been decided to exempt the shipments from payment of the Indo-China transit duty and to [Page 757] provide the necessary railway facilities so that the total amount of the shipments may be effected before the end of the year.
