157. Further to our cable 145 of April 10 [14] with particular reference to suggestion of enlarging existing Ankara Co-ordinating Committee by United States representation, Department feels advisable that two such representatives be provisionally designated at this time.
[Page 695]You and the military attaché are so designated. War Department has given the necessary approval for the latter. Any additional personnel will be left to your discretion, as is also the authority to designate a member of your staff to attend meetings on your behalf when desirable.
