1169. From Murphy. My 1151, June 24.73 At its meeting yesterday the Committee of National Liberation accepted Governor General Boisson’s resignation but asked that he remain in office until his successor could be named. I understand the Committee is endeavoring to find an acceptable replacement and plans to discuss the matter with us.

I shall telegraph further tomorrow after consultation with Giraud and Massigli. [Murphy.]
