The Secretary of State to the British Ambassador (Halifax)
The Secretary of State presents his compliments to His Excellency the British Ambassador and has the honor to refer to the Embassy’s note No. 601, Reference: 3136/5/44, dated September 30, 1944, concerning the mistreatment of Allied parachutists who fall into German hands.
There is transmitted herewith for the Embassy’s information a copy of the Department’s telegram of today’s date to the American Legation at Bern51 which sets forth the protest which the Swiss Government is being requested to deliver to the German Government in this connection.
