Immediately on receipt of your 6032 of July 31, I contacted Mr. Pell and also brought the matter to Mr. Eden’s attention, as I found that in spite of Mr. Pell’s protest and dissent, the War Crimes Commission still planned to hold its press conference this morning. It was only with Mr. Eden’s intervention that it was cancelled.
