9374. Lieutenant Commander Patterson who is at present in Washington has informed Department that at meeting of Departmental Committee on Censorship in London which considered question of establishment of Saudi Arabian Government radio station, he did not object to establishment of station but agreed that while the war was on adequate censorship provision should be made in connection with running of station. Foregoing for your information in connection with your 9453 of November 1. Byron Price, Director of Censorship, is instructing his representative on Censorship Committee in London to offer no objections to the erection of radio station in Saudi Arabia.
