  1. On May 7, 1945, at Reims, France, the German High Command surrendered unconditionally to the Supreme Commander, Allied Expeditionary Force and to the Soviet High Command. The ratification of the unconditional surrender of all German Armed Forces to the Supreme Allied Commands took place in Berlin on May 8, 1945.
