On the question of terminating military government in the Bolzano area I consider that it is important that there be no change just at this time in the administration of this area since the settlement with Italy is still before the Council Foreign Ministers. Please request the War Department to defer any arrangement for withdrawal until I can review the matter after the termination of this Conference. [Byrnes.]
