  • Soviet Offer of US Assistance to GOCR

Planning Minister Rodriguez told USAID Director today that Soviet Government has within last few days offered to build/rehabilitate Limon and Puntarenas ports. Projects would be financed in form of loan repayable by Costa Rican coffee exports to USSR, with coffee priced at traditional market levels. Rodriguez implied that proposal was under study by GOCR.
