I have an appointment later this afternoon with the Minister for Foreign Affairs and I propose to ask him as on my own initiative whether the Japanese Government is aware of and associates itself with the position taken by the Japanese Army as above reported. Craigie authorizes me to use this information but without revealing individual Japanese source.
