Editorial Note
In the week following the fourth United States–United Kingdom ministerial meeting members of the United States and United Kingdom Delegations continued to work on various drafts of a tripartite statement on arms shipments and security. By May 18 Bevin and Acheson had agreed on the text of a draft statement which was presented to Schuman on that day.
