238. Editorial Note
On February 27 Chairman Mao Tse-tung delivered a speech “On the Correct Handling of Contradictions Among the People” to the Eleventh Session of the Supreme State Conference of the People’s Republic of China. The text of the speech was released to foreign correspondents in Peking on June 18. For reaction within the United States Government to the speech, see Documents 264 and 265.
